Paul Dundas (Edinburgh University)
Highly-respected scholar of Jainism, Professor Dundas has spent his professional life at Edinburgh University in Scotland, where he has been Reader in Sanskrit since 2004. His talk will explore the use of allegory as an imaginative and didactic mode in the Sanskrit and Prakrit writings of the Svetambara monk Hemacandra Maladharin.
